Introduction
Cameroon Project for Sustainable Agriculture, Water Resource Development and Management (CAMPROSAM) was established under Law No 99/014 of 22 of 22 December 1999 and Law No 90/053 of 19 December 1990 in 2014 to address the pressing challenges faced by rural communities in Cameroon, particularly in the areas of agriculture, water access, and livelihoods. The organization aims to support smallholder farmers, agricultural technicians, engineers, and researchers by providing the tools, knowledge, and resources necessary to improve food security, enhance sustainable agriculture practices, and ensure access to clean drinking water. Through capacity-building initiatives and community-based projects, CAMPROSAM works to uplift local communities and contribute to poverty reduction in Cameroon and the Sub-region.
Underlying the strong partnerships and diverse projects at CAMPROSAM are the people who have shape its journey. This begins with the visionaries who conceived and developed the organization, and extends to the dedicated CAMPROSAM staff and project teams across Cameroon. These individuals, working in close collaboration with thousands of smallholder farmers, have been the driving force behind the organization's success. Their commitment, expertise, and passion have made a significant impact on improving agricultural practices, food security, and livelihoods in the communities they serve.
Since 2014, CAMPROSAM has successfully implemented over 60 agricultural development projects and more than 30 water projects across 10 regions of Cameroon. Through these efforts, the organization has played a vital role in supporting Cameroon's commitment to poverty reduction and the improvement of livelihoods in the Sub-region, contributing to long-term sustainable development and community empowerment.

While it is important to celebrate the partnerships, projects, and individuals that have shape the history of CAMPROSAM, the organization acknowledges that there is still much work to be done. The challenges of improving food security, access to clean water, and sustainable livelihoods continue to persist, and CAMPROSAM's mandate remains as relevant today as it was in 2014. The organization remains committed to its mission of supporting rural communities and smallholder farmers, striving to create lasting, positive change across Cameroon and the wider Central African Sub-region.
The stories of CAMRPOSAM are vast and would fill many books. To mark 10 years of impactful operation, the organization has chosen to profile a small selection of its partnership, projects, and individuals. These stories highlight the far-reaching impact of CAMPROSAM across various regions, countries, and fields of research, show casing the diverse ways in which the organization has contributed to improving agricultural practices, access to clean water, and livelihoods. Through these selected stories, CAMPROSAM aims to convey the breadth and depth of its influence over the past decade.
