CAMPROSAM Gender Equity Policy and Strategy 2020-2030
In low- and middle-income countries, both women and men are deeply involved in agriculture, food systems, health, and the management of natural resources. However, the vital role women play is frequently overlooked or undervalued, and they often bear the brunt of poverty more than men.
To address this issue, CAMPROSAM has established a Gender Equity Policy and Strategy. The organization recognizes that achieving its core goals—such as improving food security, reducing poverty, ensuring access to clean water, enhancing health and nutrition, and tackling climate change—is not possible without a strong commitment to promoting gender equity both within the organization and in its external programs.
The policy and strategy adopt a long-term, values-driven approach to advancing gender equity and align with CAMPROSAM’s 10-Year Strategy (2020–2030). It outlines a clear framework to help achieve gender equity, equality, and the empowerment of women—ultimately benefiting communities in Cameroon and partner countries alike.
