Partnerships

The Cameroon Project for Sustainable Agriculture, Water Resource Development, and Management (CAMPROSAM) plays a unique role in development assistance by working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including civil society groups, smallholder farmers, and local communities.

Since 2014, CAMPROSAM has partnered with both public and private institutions to enhance agricultural productivity, promote sustainability, and strengthen the resilience of food systems across 10 regions of Cameroon. Additionally, CAMPROSAM has made significant strides in improving access to safe, clean drinking water for rural communities.

The success of CAMPROSAM is largely attributed to the strong partnerships it has developed and nurtured over the past decade. These partnerships bring together the best agricultural and water expertise from across Cameroon, working collaboratively to address challenges in an ever-changing world. The dedication of these partnerships is a key factor in the project's achievements.

The core of these partnerships is centered on collaboration with agricultural and water institutions, but other vital stakeholders also play a crucial role in strengthening and expanding the impact of the work. These additional partners, including civil society organizations, government representatives, international research networks, and the private sector, bring unique perspectives and expertise that help address the challenges faced by rural farmers and create sustainable solutions.

CAMPROSAM's continuity of purpose and strong reputation as a trustworthy organization have fostered deep relationships built on trust and respect with its partners. The bonds formed during projects, particularly between Cameroonian stakeholders and in-country science partners, continue to thrive long after the project cycle ends.

Beyond bilateral and regional partnerships, CAMPROSAM has also invested in national, international, and multilateral collaborations with organizations that share similar goals. These partnerships allow for more effective and efficient outcomes, as the combined expertise and resources of various partners enable the delivery of more ambitious and far-reaching programs.

The work of CAMPROSAM and its diverse range of partners over the last 10 years has significantly contributed to enhancing Cameroon's positive international reputation, a recognition that extends both within and outside the country.
