For over 10 years, CAMPROSAM has been committed to providing clean drinking water to rural communities while empowering small-scale farmers through capacity development initiatives. Our work has focused on improving access to essential resources and building the skills necessary for sustainable agricultural practices, ultimately enhancing both the health and livelihoods of these communities. In celebration of these achievements, CAMPROSAM has released a catalogue that highlights the inspiring stories of the projects and individuals who have been integral to the organization's impactful journey.
10 years of CAMPROSAM
Corporate Information and Governance
Cameroon Project for Sustainable Agriculture, Water Resource Development and Management (CAMPROSAM) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established under Law No 99/014 of 22 December 1999 and Law No 90/053 of 19 December 1990 on the freedom of association in Cameroon. This law provides the legal framework for the creation and operation of NGOs in the country, ensuring that organizations like CAMPROSAM can function independently, promote social development, and engage in activities that benefit communities, particularly in rural areas.
By being registered under this law, CAMPROSAM is officially recognized and authorized to carry out its mission, including its focus on improving access to safe drinking water, sanitation, and sustainable agricultural practices. The legal framework also allows CAMPROSAM to collaborate with other stakeholders, including the government, local communities, and international partners, while remaining accountable to both its mission and the laws of Cameroon.
We operate within the portfolio of rural development and community-based water and sanitation initiatives. The CAMPROSAM Chief Executive Officer (CEO) reports directly to the Board of Directors (Board).
